The goal of Food for Families is to ensure that as few as possible go to bed hungry each night. Council 4902 is very active within the River Falls Community helping to support the River Falls Food Pantry through donations of cash, food and volunteer hours. The Council has several members who are very active in their volunteer service and some even spend up to a full work week volunteering to help at the Food Pantry.
The River Falls Food Pantry serves persons in need of food in Pierce and St. Croix Counties Wisconsin. Council 4902 in 2022 provided cash donations of almost $5,000.00 and in our annual food drive in November of 2022 collected and donated 1,470 pounds of food items along with $4,780 in cash and gift certificates donated as part of the food drive at St. Bridget’s Parish.
2023 Food for Families Food drive was held at St. Bridget’s church. The parish members once again were very generous with their donation of cash and food items. This year we collected almost 1,300 pounds of food and $7,000 in checks and cash. Thank you St. Bridget’s families for your generous support.
