COMMUNITY

Knights are called to serve others as Christ instructed us we must be servants to our brothers, sisters and neighbors. The first principle of our order is Charity. In our homes, families, Church and our community we strive to uphold this principle. As a fraternity of banded brothers we come together and can accomplish many things in Charity.

KC Council 4902 strives to be a good steward within the River Falls and surrounding community by providing not only charitable donations of money, but also of many volunteer hours and support to organizations such as the River Falls Food Pantry, Have a Heart Farm, WI Special Olympics, River Falls Schools Special Education, Assistance and Resource Center (ARC), and Our Neighbor’s Place. We also participate in the Adopt-a-Highway program with the WI DOT.

We also support programs sponsored by the Supreme Knights of Columbus. Annually we host an Annual Free Throw contest for the youth of St. Bridget and local River Falls Schools for ages 9 – 14. There are winners in each age group, both boys and girls, who then go on to compete at the District level, and if successful there, move on to the State level.

Our Council has also sponsored an annual Bowling tournament for the youth of River Falls. This has been a tradition for 54 years, sponsored by the KC’s with the local business, St. Croix Lanes.

Our Council is also Blessed with many talented individuals who help out in many ways within the Community of River Falls. Our Brother Tom Zenk and his wife Heather have offered a CPR class once and will in the future.
