The protection of life is a sustained prayer intention of the Church, and in particular of the Knights of Columbus. Knights remain firmly committed to defending the right to life of every human being – from the moment of conception to natural death. To commemorate and bolster this important cause, councils will promote a novena, nine days of sustained prayer, to build up a culture of life in our parishes, homes and wider community.
Over the past four years, Council 4902 has sponsored and led the Novena for Life program in partnership with St. Bridget’s Parish. The Novena is a 9-day prayer program coordinated to coincide with the United States Council of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) 9 Days for Life where we gather as a committed organization to pray to protect human life.
The 2024 Novena, held January 16 – 24th, at St. Bridget’s Parish before Mass or the Liturgy of the Word with Holy Communion. The daily reflection and prayers are below.
